The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager Taxation, Australia - you will be a valued member of the Taxation team. The role will be based at Rhodes, NSW and the Sydney CBD office. This full-time position provides critical assistance across all aspects of the tax function for Frasers Property Australia (FPA), Frasers Property Industrial (FPI), Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust (FLCT), Frasers Hospitality (FH), and various Joint Ventures (JV).
What you’ll do
Strategic Advisory: Provide advice to the business on the income tax implications of commercial transactions, corporate structuring, acquisitions, divestments, and projects.
Compliance & Reporting: Manage income tax returns and tax provision calculations for the FPA/FPIA tax consolidated group, FLCT, FH, and joint ventures, ensuring on-time lodgement and accuracy.
International Tax Leadership: Oversee transfer pricing documentation, Country-by-country reporting, and implement global tax initiatives.
Governance & Risk: Manage the tax governance framework, policies, and procedures, while engaging directly with Government agencies including the ATO and FIRB.
Team Leadership: As a member of the Tax Leadership Team, you will lead, coach, and mentor a team including a Tax Consultant and Senior Tax Consultant to achieve high performance and career development.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the Tax team.
What you’ll bring
Qualifications: A Tertiary Qualification in Taxation or Accounting (essential), alongside CA, CPA, or Masters of Tax qualifications.
Experience: Strong tax technical knowledge with experience gained in a Big 4 accounting firm and/or a corporate environment. Commercial acumen developed within the property industry is highly desirable.
Leadership: A proven track record in managing and motivating staff, with a high level of accountability over complex business and tax processes.
Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Experience with SAP Software, Business Objects Reporting, or Tax Software (like Onesource) is desirable.
Attributes: You are a highly organised team player with strong stakeholder relationship-building skills and a high level of integrity.
